Chippokes State Park is a beautiful location and contains the oldest continually farmed land in the country. The rich history and lovely views of the James River make for a perfect day visit or an overnight getaway.

Our nation's first president grew up along the shores of the Potomac River, almost next door to where we have a fabulous state park. Virginia's state parks offer rich national history.
